1. Who handles your information
More4u (Pty) Ltd, registration 2020/082294/07, is responsible for personal information processed for its online store at https://more4you.co.za. Information Officer: Nazeem Ebrahim, Director. Contact: info@more4you.co.za; 087 822 2155; 7 Bonita Street, Lenasia, Johannesburg, Gauteng, 1821, South Africa.
This policy covers shopping, accounts, quotations, enquiries and related customer service. It explains how we handle personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
2. Information we collect and why
When you order, register or contact us, we collect the details you provide, such as your name, email, telephone number, billing or delivery address, order contents and correspondence. Business quotations may include a business name and representative’s details. If you authorise someone to collect an order, we use the information reasonably needed for handover.
We hold order status, payment references and refund records. Card-payment information entered through iKhokha is processed by iKhokha. Do not email card numbers, CVVs, PINs or banking passwords to us.
We use information to answer enquiries, prepare quotations, manage accounts, fulfil orders, arrange collection or delivery, send order updates, handle complaints and refunds, maintain business records and protect the store against fraud and misuse. Processing relies on the applicable basis, including carrying out a contract, complying with legal duties, protecting legitimate interests where lawful, or your consent where required.
Details necessary for an order are required to fulfil it; without them we may be unable to complete the transaction. Marketing consent is optional and is not a condition of purchase.
3. Email and WhatsApp marketing
We send promotional emails only with your separate email opt-in, and promotional WhatsApp messages only with your separate WhatsApp opt-in. Buying, registering an account or accepting our terms does not itself subscribe you. You can unsubscribe using the option in an email, reply STOP to a promotional WhatsApp message, or contact info@more4you.co.za. Necessary order, payment, delivery and customer-service communications continue without marketing consent. We do not sell customer contact lists.
4. Service providers and recipients
Authorised store operators and service providers access information only as needed for their work. Our store uses WordPress and WooCommerce, hosting with domains.co.za, iKhokha for online payments, and The Courier Guy for courier fulfilment. A local delivery arrangement may also require the recipient’s name, contact details, address and delivery instructions. Suppliers ordinarily receive product requirements rather than customer contact details when we collect goods ourselves.
Jetpack / Automattic provides connected website services and visitor statistics. Wordfence supports website security. WPForms supports enquiry forms. Depending on the service used, providers process relevant contact or order details, payment references, IP addresses, browser details, page visits, security events or correspondence. Providers may also process information independently under their own privacy terms. Information may be disclosed when legally required or necessary to establish or defend a lawful claim.
5. Cookies, statistics and external content
Cookies and similar technologies support cart contents, checkout sessions, login, preferences and security. WooCommerce’s cart-change cookies normally last for the session; its customer-session cookie normally lasts two days. WordPress login and preference cookies depend on whether you log in and choose “Remember Me”. Blocking these through your browser may affect shopping and account functions.
Jetpack Stats records site-use information such as pages viewed, referring links, browser details, timestamps, country and IP address. We see aggregate statistics rather than individual visitor IP addresses through that feature. Automattic states that identifiable Stats logs are retained for 28 days. We will obtain consent where required before introducing optional advertising or tracking that requires it. Email or WhatsApp marketing consent does not give blanket permission for unrelated tracking. You can manage cookies through your browser and contact us about the processing described here. Following an external link or using third-party content is subject to that provider’s privacy practices.
6. Retention, security and international processing
We retain information for order fulfilment, account administration, accounting, legal obligations, complaints and legitimate dispute requirements. WooCommerce currently has no automatic account or order deletion periods configured; records are retained until reviewed and lawfully deleted or de-identified. You may request a retention review or deletion. We keep evidence of marketing consent and withdrawal as needed to honour your choices and demonstrate compliance. This does not authorise indefinite retention where there is no lawful purpose.
We use account-based access controls, HTTPS transmission and website security tools. Access is limited to authorised people who need it. No online system is entirely risk-free. Report suspected misuse to info@more4you.co.za. We will address personal-information security compromises and notify the relevant parties where required by law.
Connected providers, including Automattic, may process information outside South Africa. Depending on the provider and service, processing may take place in the United States and other countries. Any transfer must meet POPIA’s applicable requirements, including adequate legal or contractual protection or another lawful transfer basis. Contact the Information Officer for information about a particular provider or transfer.
7. Your rights and complaints
You may ask whether we hold your personal information, request access or correction, seek deletion where appropriate, object to qualifying processing and withdraw consent. Some records must be retained for legal or other lawful reasons. We may reasonably verify identity before releasing or changing information. Send requests to info@more4you.co.za with the subject “Privacy request”.
You may complain to South Africa’s Information Regulator. You do not have to resolve a complaint with us before exercising a statutory right. Our PAIA Manual explains requests for access to company records and is available from the Information Officer. We update this policy when our practices change and show the effective date.
8. Children and information about others
Orders should be placed by an adult or with a parent or guardian’s involvement. Avoid submitting children’s personal details or sensitive health information in order notes. For event candy orders, describe the product requirement rather than naming children or providing medical histories. Provide another person’s details only with appropriate authority. Contact us if a child’s information has been submitted unintentionally.
